EDLI members – Minimum Assured Life Insurance amount of 2.5 Lakh

As per the latest notification the minimum Assured amount in case of death of the member under EDLI will be raised to 2.5 lakhs from the current limit of 1.5 lakhs.

EDLI – What is EDLI?

This will be paid to the kin of family member or his/her spouse or the children of the EPF member,This will be in effect till May 2019.

In addition to that members who have contributed more than 20 years to EPF will get a retirement bonus of Rs 50,000 as “Loyalty Bonus” (This is something new which has not been introduced previously)
