PF Withdrawal Online – Steps, Process & Rules

Employees Provident Organization (EPFO) allows a PF member to withdraw money from a PF account during his/her lifetime. They are classified into PF Full Withdrawal, PF Pension Withdrawal, and PF Advances (PF Part Withdrawal)

PF Online Claim Withdrawal

PF Claim withdrawal involves withdrawing all the amount from both the EPF account and EPF Pension accounts by the PF member. The EPF account will have contributions from both the Employee and the Employer whereas the contribution is only from the Employer for the PF Pension account.

Eligibility Criteria for PF Withdrawal

PF Full Settlement or PF Withdrawal can be applied online in the UAN portal only when these conditions are met by the PF Member

  • The PF member should not be working in any company
  • The PF member should not submit the claim within 2 months of leaving the company
  • UAN and mobile number linked with UAN should be active
  • Aadhaar should be seeded and verified in the UAN portal
  • Member Name should be same as in Aadhaar (otherwise it should be updated in the UAN)
  • Member Bank Account should be verified and linked with UAN (Name on the Bank account should match with Name in the Aadhaar)
  • PAN should be updated and verified in the UAN portal
  • The date of Joining should be updated in the UAN portal
  • Date of Exit from the Employment should be updated by the Employer, if not a PF member can update the Date of Exit directly in the UAN portal

Once these conditions are met, PF members can file for an online claim withdrawal.

PF Full Withdrawal Online (Form19)

To withdraw the amount from the PF account, the member has to apply for Form 19 through the online UAN portal by following the below steps

  1. Login into the UAN member portal with UAN ID and Password
  2. Click on “Online services” and then choose the option “Claim (Form 31,19 & 10C)
  3. Enter the Full Bank account Number and click on Verify
  4. Then click on “Proceed for Claim”
  5. Then choose the option as “Form 10C” (Only PF Withdrawal)
  6. Enter the member address and other details on the page
  7. Enter the Employee Address, and other details and then click on Aadhaar OTP at the bottom
  8. Enter the OTP received on your Mobile number from UIDAI and Click on Submit. Once you do that you will claim will be submitted successfully
  9. Claim submission successful message would be displayed.

After the submission of the PF withdrawal Claim, it may take anywhere from 5 to 15 working days to process the claim. If the claim has not been processed even after 15 working days, file a complaint at the PF Grievance portal

PF Pension Withdrawal Online (Form10C)

  1. Login into the UAN member portal with UAN ID and Password
  2. Click on “Online services” and then choose the option “Claim (Form 31,19 & 10C)
  3. Enter the Full Bank account Number and click on Verify
  4. Then click on “Proceed for Claim”
  5. Then choose the option “Form 10” (Only Pension Withdrawal)
  6. Enter the member address and other details on the page
  7. Enter the Employee Address, and other details and then click on Aadhaar OTP at the bottom
  8. Enter the OTP received on your Mobile number from UIDAI and Click on Submit. Once you do that you will claim will be submitted successfully
  9. Claim submission successful message would be displayed.

PF Advances Claim Withdrawal

A PF member can apply for PF Advance Claim Withdrawal for various reasons like Marriage, Higher Education of sons/daughters, construction of a house/flat, purchase of house/flat /plot, and for medical treatment only when certain conditions are met

PF Advances online (Form31)

PF Advances can be applied online easily by following a similar process to the PF withdrawal but Form 31 should be chosen for applying the PF Advance instead of Form19 or Form10C .

  1. I have claim 3 times for withdrawal of my pension fund.i tried many time to contact customer care office but they are not recieve my call even number is not in service. I have also sent a mail but they are not replying me…this is not fair with empoyer….how can we connect with them ??

    My pf AC no is MH/212030/25659 .and i am olready dispatched form 19 and 10G but how we can found what is the progress. Bicouse i dont have UAN no and my mobile mo no is not attached with PF ac no. Please give me any suggetion how we can withdrowl my PF ammount.

  4. I had left my first company in April this year. I was unemployed for 2 months post that. I applied for my PF and sent it to the registered office in Bangalore but they didn’t forward it to the PF office saying they are not acceptin any claims as of now. I joined another company in august and left it in just 2 months.Now I have 2 PF accounts. I cannot transfer as I am no longer working with the other company
