Navigating the complexities of withdrawing funds from your Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) account can be overwhelming. Worry not, as this comprehensive guide empowers you, the PF member, with complete information on various withdrawal options and the seamless online process.

Understanding Your Withdrawal Options:

  • PF Full Withdrawal (Form 19): This option allows complete withdrawal of both employee and employer contributions from your EPF account and pension account, typically applicable after leaving employment or attaining retirement age.
  • PF Pension Withdrawal (Form 10C): This option lets you withdraw your accumulated pension corpus from the pension account, available after attaining specific age requirements.
  • PF Advances (Part Withdrawal, Form 31): You can avail partial withdrawals for specific purposes like marriage, medical treatment, or property purchase under specific eligibility conditions.

Eligibility Criteria for PF Withdrawal

  • No active employment status
  • Minimum 2-month gap after leaving the last company
  • Active UAN and linked mobile number
  • Aadhaar seeding and verification in UAN portal
  • Matching member name in Aadhaar and UAN (update if necessary)
  • Verified bank account linked with UAN and matching Aadhaar name
  • Updated PAN and date of joining in UAN portal
  • Updated date of exit by employer or self-updated in UAN portal

Once these conditions are met, PF members can file for an online claim withdrawal.

Filing Your PF Claim Online

The UAN portal provides a user-friendly platform for online claim filing. Here’s a simplified guide:

  1. Login: Access the UAN portal using your UAN ID and password.
  2. Claim Selection: Navigate to “Online Services” and choose “Claim (Form 31, 19 & 10C).”
  3. Bank Account Verification: Enter your complete bank account details and click “Verify.”
  4. Claim Initiation: Click “Proceed for Claim” and select the appropriate form:
    • Form 19: Choose this option for Full withdrawal (Form 19).
    • Form 10C: Select this option for Pension withdrawal (Form 10C).
    • Form 31: Opt for this option for specific advances (Form 31).
  5. Claim Details: Enter your address and other required information.
  6. Aadhaar Verification: Click “Aadhaar OTP” and enter the received OTP for verification.
  7. Claim Submission: Click “Submit” to file your claim successfully.

Processing Timeline and Grievance Redressal:

Expect claim processing within 5-15 working days. For delays beyond 15 days, lodge a complaint through the PF Grievance portal.

PF Advances Claim Withdrawal

A PF member can apply for PF Advance Claim Withdrawal for various reasons like Marriage, Higher Education of sons/daughters, construction of a house/flat, purchase of house/flat /plot, and for medical treatment only when certain conditions are met

PF Advances online (Form31)

PF Advances can be applied online easily by following a similar process to the PF withdrawal but Form 31 should be chosen for applying the PF Advance instead of Form19 or Form10C .
