RBI has recently launched Retail direct scheme through which retail investors can invest in Govt bonds and securities directly through RBI instead of through other intermediaries like ICICIDirect, HDFCSec & other broking platforms. - Retail investors can directly place bid for Goverment Securities through non-competitive scheme
- Retail investors would be also able to buy & sell Government securities
Previously whenever we invest in Govt securities, it could be done only through portals like ICICIDirect, HDFCSec or Zerodha. But with launch of this portal, Retail investors can invest directly invest in Government of India Treasury Bills, Long Term Govt securities etc.,
