ICICI is otherwise known as Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India, it’s an Indian Financial institution that was created in 1955 as join venture between World Bank, India’s Public sector banks to provide project financing to Industry. ICICI created a subsidiary known as ICICI Bank in 1994 and thats how ICICI Bank came into existence.
Later ICICI got merged with ICICI Bank and the combined entity is simply known as ICICI Bank which is Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India Bank
ICICI Bank’s headquarters are in Vadodara whereas as the Corporate office is in Mumbai. ICICI Bank also has subsidiaries like ICICI Direct, ICICI HomeFinance, ICICI Prudential and ICICI Lombard
