Check your PF Balance if your PF account number starts with HP/SML. All the PF numbers are tagged to a UAN account. If you have a PF number starting with HP/SML that is tagged to Shimla PF office, then you can follow any of the methods below
- Know your UAN & Check Balance
- EPF Office Balance check with UAN Number (By SMS or Missed call)
- EPF Balance check without UAN Number
Incase if you don’t have a UAN number, Generate a UAN number and check your balance!

I am a employee in HPSEB Lltd & retired on dated 28/2/17. I wrote to the HPSEB Ltd during 9/2016 and 1/2017 for extension of my GPF Account No: HPSEB-14936 but no extension given.
At last I have to apply for the final payment during 29/5/17. The HPSEB Ltd Paid me during 27/6/17, without interest w.e.f. 28/2/17 to June-2017. I checked the GPF Balance on 13.8.17 it was showing 48, 950/- as my interest earned for the above period which was not paid to me. Am I entitled to get interest w.e.f 28/2/17 to June-2017. Please guide me how can I claim this amount Rs.48950/- only.
