Causes of Monkeypox

MonkeyPox is caused by virus called MonkeyPox virus and it’s very similar to smallpox as it comes from the same family of viruses though it’s infectious, it’s not as fatal as COVID-19. But there are different ways in which it can easily spread from the infected person to another person as listed below (if there is a local outbreak, we may need to be more cautious) and symptoms of Monkeypox can be mistaken for small pox

According to CDC, it can spread it any of the different ways as listed below
1. Direct contact with the infectious rash, scabs, or body fluids from the infected person
2. Touching items that has touched the rashes or infectious fluids of the person who already got infected
3. Respiratory secretions during physical relationship contact (or) face to face contact
4. Pregnant women can spread the virus to their fetus (if the Pregnant women is already infected)
